In this chapter, we learn that Milady has gone to the clothing store to buy some new clothes for herself and her family. When Milady finds out that the brothers are shopping together, she tells them to be patient with Milady because she is a "violent woman" who needs to be kept safe. Milady then tells the brothers that they should try on some of the new clothes and see how attractive they are. She tells them that the first rule for survival in China is to "keep a low profile" and Milady says that she will help them to do just that.
