Okay, now we're back at the beginning of the novel, where we find Hiroyuki's friend, Yuichi, standing in the hallway. He's been hanging out with a guy named Teru, and he's wondering why Teru hasn't called him back yet. Yuichi tells him that he'll be coming home to see him later that day, and that he can talk to Teru about his plans for the future. He also tells Yuichi that they're going to have sex again the next day, so he wants to make sure that Yuichi still thinks that it's gross, even though they've had sex before. He asks Yuichi if he thinks that Teru's first friends are his "child hood friends" , and Yuichi says that's true, but he'd like Yuichi to think that he and Teru are still his "first friends" because he thinks their sex was gross. He then asks if Yuichi's ass is "covered for them," and he asks if she's covering for them too, and she says that she is, too. She then asks why he took off his pants the other day and he says that it was "gross" to do
