Mr. Sosuke, the owner of the shop, is in the middle of selling a rare and valuable item to a customer when he is interrupted by the sound of a kitten's scratching. The kitten, however, has returned the item to the shop because the owner was told that it was a gift from a customer, and that he did not need it. The owner is so happy that he tells Sosuke that he has been attracted to him ever since he first met him. He tells her that he feels mixed when he thinks about how lucky he is to have been able to save her from the cat's cruelty, but he is also happy when his master is happy. He says that he used to live with his grandmother in the mountains, but that he was provided with a job at the shop so that he could support himself.
