In this chapter, the wolf's assistant tells us that he and the wolf have been hiding together for thirty years. He says that they don't really know who will eventually die first, but they promise that they'll always be together. He also tells us about a man he found while investigating the curse on the fairy tale. He was already dead when he found him, but the man's daughter told him to give her the half of the story that was left by the witch.
