In this chapter, we learn that Bianji is on his way to Africa to collect mat for his new work. When he arrives at the bakery, Bianji finds that the woman who made the bread for him is also there. Bianji tells the woman that he has come to see her because he is a victim of a curse. He tells her that he cannot let humans discover his existence because he believes that there is a solution to the problem.
