When the narrator wakes up, he feels ill. He's been drinking with a friend, who took him to a hotel without his consent. The narrator asks where the friend is, and the man tells him that the hotel is part of the station where he works. He also tells the narrator that he's carrying the woman to the central fire station, where she'll be taken to the hospital. When he sees the woman, the narrator realizes that she's totally fine. He asks the man how he can repay him for all of the trouble he caused. The man says that he can't, because he needs to buy new glasses, but he promises to pay for them.
