About This Chapter
In this short scene, the young woman introduces herself as the mother of a dog. She tells us that the dog is a guy, and that she'd like to make him a big meal. The young woman wonders what kind of dog the dog likes, and then she asks him what life was like before he came to live with her. The dog's response is that he used to have a lot of freedom, but now that he's grown up, he doesn't have that freedom anymore. The woman wonders if she's thinking about her son, and the dog says that's okay, too. She asks if she needs more people, and he says no, and she says that she needs to work harder in order to find love. She says that falling in love naturally suits her better than waiting for someone to fall in love with her, because she'll be able to do it naturally. She also says that her story is a long one, and it's boring, but that she won't ever fight with anyone because she knows that they'll meet her one day.
