In this short scene, the Governess tells Ming that he is going to the orphanage because he wants Ming to know that he cares for him. He tells Ming to eat and to take care of his way home. Ming tells him that he has always been independent, clever, and awesome, and that he will never let him down again. He asks Ming to borrow money from him so that he can leave the orphanage and start his life on his own
