The young man tells the waiter that he does not want to waste his time with the young woman, so he tells her to go back to her room first. He asks the waiter if he has ever taken the "initative," which is a form of flattery, and if he would do the same if he did not say anything. He says that he has been with her for four years, and that whenever his mom asks about her boyfriend, he has no idea how to respond. He apologizes, saying that he knows exactly how her feelings are, but he has always ignored them because he has "been so selfish." He asks if he should contact the press about that.
