In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi's father, Kagokawa, has sold his land to a gang of thieves. The gang is looking to buy it back, so they ask Hiroshi to loan them the money. Hiroshi agrees to loan the money to the thieves, even though he's blacklisted as a moneylender in the area. He then tells us that he used Kiryu to get information about the whereabouts of his ex-boyfriend, who is also a member of the same gang. Kiryu's information helped him get the information he needed to get rid of Hiroshi, and the gang agreed to take the property from him.
