At the end of the first year, the dean tells the students that they will have to take a second year exam to become a dual flame apprentice. He tells them that they must be able to "concentrate their yin-yang crown" . The students are told that they can leave the school at any time. The dean says that he will send the students to the bartenders' guild after the exam is over.
