Outside of the city, Gu tells his brother that he has to teach him a lesson. He tells him that he is a third-level flame apprentice, and that he will defeat Gu when he improves his skills. Gu tells him to close his eyes and cultivate. He says that it is not suitable for both of them to cultivate at the same time, but that he still has a place to do so. He gives Gu a drink, which is called the "white moon" . Gu says that he was afraid that the drink was going to evaporate, so he did not pour it in a glass. Gu thanks him for giving him so many different drinks, and he says that since he arrived a year ago, he has been able to become one of the top three flame apprentices. He asks Gu if he is thirsty for power, and Gu says he longs for great power.
