The narrator complains about the upcoming tests. He's worried that one of his friends won't take the test because she doesn't go to class often. He tells his friend, Chihiro, that he's not worried about the test at all, because they'll handle it somehow. The narrator is interrupted by his friend's voice, which reminds him of the bathhouse where he used to live. The bathhouse has a reputation for being a noisy place, and the narrator complains that the place would be even more noisy if more students came to the baths. He asks Chihiro and his friend to help him wash off all of his sweat before he leaves for work. The two students leave to go to the theater club, but the narrator has a curfew, so he'll have to go home.
