Back at the hotel, Lap and Chihiro discuss the success of their recent trip to the theater. Lap says that he's feeling better since the trip, and he thanks Chihiro for making him feel better. Chihiro says that the show was a big hit, too, and that he and Hirokazu are having a "closing party," too. Lap thanks him for all his help with the show, and says he'd forced him to come along to help out around the lodge, but now he can't bear to leave. He asks if he can wash his body in the bath, which he says is "weird being washed by someone else" . He says he wants to thank Chihiro and get back at him for trying to trick him the last time they were in the hotel. He's grateful, but says he doesn't want to be a "little gen tler," as he calls himself.
