In this chapter, the narrator explains how he fell in love with the Orcas, and how he ended up playing music to them off the Canadian coast. He also explains that he's working for a centenarian on the side, and that his last mission was "painful" . He wants to know if there's anything unusual about the body. He's sure that it's an Orca, but he doesn't know how close it was to death. The narrator explains that they're working on someone who wants to keep the body of the Orca. He explains that following the attack, he became afraid of going anywhere, but eventually he overcame his fear and became a pilot.
