About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "chipekwe" . He is a young man who has just returned from a trip to California. He has just heard that his father, who was a very important man in his life, has died. He asks his new friend, Miss Rossell, if he can borrow some money to help him with his research. Rossell refuses, saying that he has no other choice. He tells his friend that he would like to know if the photographs he took are real. He also asks if Rossell has any doubts about the authenticity of the photographs. He says that he does not know why Rossell chose to go to California, but Rossell says that it was the passion of collecting that made it possible for him and his friend to go there. He then asks Rossell to take back the photographs that he took. He adds that the photographs are nothing to be ashamed of, but that he will have to get better at them.
