About This Chapter
Back at the workshop, the guys are getting ready for their next performance. They've got a kid in the front row who's still there, and they're worried that he's going to jump out of the water and kill himself. The guys tell him to calm down, and he'll be fine. He's banned from the water for two weeks and has to change his clothes before he can tell his kids about it. He also tells them that they'll have to tell their moms about it tonight, since their parents won't give them a "shit" . The kids are good kids, but they don't like their parents, and that's what makes them so bad. He tells them to get to know mick a little better, because he doesn't talk much about his family, and apparently his wife works at the shop. He says that mick seems like a weird dude, and it's probably because he works at a shop where his wife is a part-time employee. The guy says that maybe mick's wife works there because she's afraid to go check out her old lady, which is why mick never mentions his family at all. The group starts talking about how awesome it was to be a part of the creative process back in the day, and how great it is that they still have it in them to do it now. They start talking about the "green polka dot" theme from the spring of 2025 , and the "all nighters" in the workshop. The dude says that all it took was one guy to get him to do what he was doing, and now that he can't do it anymore, he wants to stay and watch mick with him. He wants to stop the show, but the guy says he has to be on manual. The
