The narrator picks up the notebook and thanks it for being so important to him. He's not sure if it's a diary or not, but he's sure that it tells him a lot about what's going on with his crush. He wonders if he'll ever see him again. The narrator says that he doesn't want to ask for a girl, because he'd be too scared to do so. He goes on to say that they don't find enough guys to go to a mixer, so they have to find some guys to come to one. He asks if he can have a chat with him since they're sitting in the middle of the room, and the narrator says yes. He says that they've known each other for a long time, and that they can talk freely since they are so close. He then says that thud is having fun with a girl and ignoring her, and he gives him a second thought. He tells the narrator that he didn't think that he would need to go into the toilet, and they go on to talk about how close they are and how happy they are to be friends. They all agree that thud isn't feeling well, but the narrator goes off to find him.
