This short scene introduces the audience to the "big mutt" and his "lovers" . The "big" dog is clearly jealous of the "dumbass" puppy, who is clearly in love with the girl. The dog, however, does not seem to be jealous, and the lovers continue to argue about whether or not the dog should be allowed to "swoop" and "puck" at each other.
