The narrator wakes up in the middle of the night to find that she has to go to her first period class. She's excited to be spending time with Hayate, but she's also worried that they're not going to be able to spend as much time together as they used to when they were younger. The narrator and Hayate have been hanging out together for the past two months, and the narrator feels like they've gotten to know each other better since they started hanging out. They're both excited to go home, but the narrator is worried that Hayate's hot and the two of them don't seem to fit each other. The two decide to go back to the station together, but they can't figure out what's going on between them. Hayate has friends, but he's not one to hang out with them, so they decide to walk back to class together. They get off at the station, but it's too late for them to get back to their apartment, so the narrator tells Hayate he'll drive them to the train station.
