In this chapter, we learn that the "young master" of the family, the "liangchen" , is planning to return to his family's business in order to inherit it from his father. We also learn that his father, the father of the young master, once took the young man to a party. The young man, who we learn is the son of the father's brother, was once a "philandering" man, but he has changed his ways and now wishes to marry a rich woman.
