It's midnight, and the noise outside is so loud that the narrator can't concentrate on his work. He's worried about what's going on, and he wonders why his uncle has a gun in the back of his car. He wonders why he's having trouble drawing the storyboard, and wonders aloud why the noise is so annoying. He also wonders why xin hasn't showed up yet. He tells his uncle that he and xin have done a great job, and that he'll reward him two when he comes back. Aww, that's a lot of praise. He wants to know what the bad news is, so he tells xin that his son has been killed by the night club. Ooh, that sounds like a good idea. But first, the narrator has to remind xin to be careful how he speaks. He says that he doesn't need to comment on the abilities of the scavengers, because they can do whatever they want without leaving any trace. He warns xin not to say anything about the ability of the ants to do anything without leaving a trace. Finally, he says that the only thing they need to do is
