This chapter opens with a description of the battle that has just taken place between the Brotherhood and the Chaos. The Brotherhood is about to be annihilated by the Chaos, so they decide to say their goodbyes to their sister and brother-in-law. The two supersouls are not that close, but the Brotherhood feels that they are still human beings, and that their auras indicate that they still exist. He tells them that he has used his curse to bind his spirit energy with the dead souls, so that if he lives, they will be able to say farewell to their family. He says that he might not be strong enough to beat the Brotherhood, but that he will not give up just because he is sad about the death of a loved one. He reminds them that dead people are still alive, and he says that even though he has been tortured by his own body and mind, he has always tried his best to live. He asks the Brotherhood to kill him, and the Brotherhood curses him, saying that he is no better than the first supersoul that he met. He calls him a "hunter" and asks him what he wants to do with the loser. He then asks him to "execute King's command" or "huff" , and then he asks if he can "become one with me" . This is the first time that the Brotherhood has been able to do this, and they are grateful for the support of the reader.
