The chapter opens with a flashback to a few years earlier, when the two of them went to the cinema together. The narrator explains that he was too young at the time to know about the relationship between his brother and his friend, so he arranged for the two to meet in secret. When they did meet, however, the narrator says, "something happened to them" , and hyung became attached to his brother. He asks if this is because he underwent a "big thing" earlier, and the narrator replies, "no way" . He says that he would "level up" if he were to go through something like this, and that he doesn't think he's "unfortunate" in the way that he is. He's fine, he says, just like his "angel brother 2." The narrator asks if he has been in a "bad mood," and he says he hasn't been in one. He wonders why he had to lie to make his brother stay next to him, and he wonders how he is planning to help him. He hates the fact that his brother is next to his. He feels like he is dying.
