In this chapter, we learn that all of the characters in the story have different capabilities, and that they have different ways of communicating with one another. For example, the cat is able to communicate with the mouse, but not with the man. The cat's ability to translate is not limited to the cat, but is also extended to the man, who is unable to communicate to the mouse.
