In this chapter, the Governess tells her fifteen-year-old son to go for a walk. She tells him to look at how much weight he's gained, and to watch how he walks. She also tells him that he looks "broken hearted" , and that he should not have done what he did. The Governess then gives him some advice about how to behave when you're being honest with yourself.
