About This Chapter
The next morning, the two men discuss how they're going to get the job done. The first man says he's too eager to do his job, but the second man says that he'll do his best to make sure the job is a success. The second man asks the first man if he was too eager, and the man replies that he wasn't too eager because he doesn't do a good job. He's just not good enough at his job. The man asks if the man is going to leave because he needs to find a place to stay. The only reason the man wants to leave is because he wants to find someone else to live with. So, the man says, he needs a job that's voluntary and mutually beneficial. He wants the man to live in the area where he works, and he wants him to pay him a reasonable salary. He also wants to know what the man's job is like in his hometown, so that he can compare it to his job in New York. The third man coughs and says he didn't understand what he was talking about. He coughs again and says, "I have a question, what is modeling?" The man says walking is a profession, so he'd like to try it. He says he won't sleep until he gets his walk down the street, but sleeping late is bad for skin. The director says they can go in over at home now, so they can walk over to the apartment. The men agree to sign the contract, and then they'll have time to discuss the job tomorrow.
