In the meantime, Orgon and his men have been preparing to attack the garrison below. When Orgon realizes that they are about to be attacked, he tells his men to prepare for battle. He tells them that he has dismissed Orgon from the army because he is a scoundrel. He plans to send his daughter to return to her parents in order to save her.
