In this chapter, Nemo's dream is interrupted by a conversation between the boy and his mother. The boy tells his mother that he doesn't have dreams, but that his first love was "a kind prince" for reals. He's pretty sure that he'd feel the same way if it were crowded, but he's glad that it isn't, because his mom dolled him up so much that he wouldn't feel like he wanted to go home. Nemo, however, is not happy about his mom's meddling, and the boy wonders if there's anything he can do about it. Nemo asks his mother if she's sorry, and she says that she is, and that she'd like to leave him behind so he can get back to normal.
