About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the narrator's sister is an older woman, and that she grew up in the countryside, where there was no activity to distract her from her studies. Because of her influence, the narrator grew up reading shoujo manga, which is a type of comic book in which the characters are depicted with cute animals. The narrator agrees with the narrator that the characters in the manga do not understand the meaning behind the stories they read. He also agrees that it is necessary to have a character like pioro, the protagonist of the manga, who can talk about the nutsria so well that the reader will be able to relate to the story. The protagonist, however, is not as handsome as the protagonist, and the narrator is worried that he has been badly injured in the scuffle. He wants to use the protagonist as a model for his own drawings, and he asks the protagonist to keep the pose up and to speak so that he can use his own voice to express his ideas. The two of them agree to do so, and when the protagonist realizes that the protagonist has been drained by the conversation, he asks to be allowed to use him as his model.
