About This Chapter
The omnibus is full of people, including the narrator, who are trying to get the heck out of Hiroshi's way. The narrator is all, "I'm sorry, Hiroshi, I'm in a bind. I need to apologize to you, but I don't know how to do it." The narrator tries to get Hiroshi to say something, but he doesn't have the nerve to say it. He says he's in trouble, but Hiroshi isn't looking at him. He's not sick, he says, and the narrator says he can't tell if Hiroshi has a fever or a headache. He adds that Hiroshi is using his phone to call the narrator's cell phone, and that he'll be back soon. Hiroshi tells the narrator to get out of the way so he can get some work done. He tells him that the city of Aoyama has a lot of pollution, and it's going to get worse before it gets better. He also says that the narrator needs to hurry up and get some tickets to see the play. He gives the narrator a pep talk, telling him that there's nothing he can do once he makes a promise, and he should just get the tickets in time to make it to the play . He then gives Hiroshi a special treat for the pig, and Hiroshi says he just wants to play with him again.
