In this chapter, the monster explains how he got back to his human form. He tells his mom that he needs to get away from her before her son wakes up. He also tells her that he's done with her, and that he can't leave her without her consent. The monster says that the special forensics team is still looking into the cocoon, but they're unable to use any tools to inspect the inside. He says that if he has any errands, he'll go for a walk. He's worried that his mom won't be able to take care of him, but he says that she's being stubborn. He asks if he can kiss his mom, and she says she'd be happy if he came home now. He then asks if she knows what's up with her friend, Kish. Kish is a friend of the monster's, and the answer to his question is "death" . He explains that he came to kill Kish because Kish is an old, old hag, and Kish is mad at him for taking a liking to a "brat like you." Kish is not mad, he says, because justice should be served to the brat like you. He goes on to say that he almost drowned in a river, was chased by dogs, got his food stolen, and was kissed by a cat. But then another cat came along and kissed him, and another cat kissed him back. This chapter ends with the monster saying, "It's cool, I'm a biological weapon."
