It's been a while since we've heard from the narrator, but he's back. He's in the middle of a conversation with his friend, lettuce, who's at work at a cafe. They're talking about the ghost of a girl who drowned in the school pool, and they're both psyched to hear more about it. We learn that the girl's name is "Ichigo" , and she works at the cafe as a waitress. She's got a crush on lettuce, but she's also a little scared of him because of the school ghost story. The two of them decide to go check out the pool before they leave.
