About This Chapter
The next morning, Jung wakes up to find that the lights in his room have been turned off. He asks if he can wake up and find out what's going on. He's worried that he's been betrayed by the two men, and he wants to know why they haven't been answering his calls. He goes to the convenience store and finds out that the man hasn't called him in two months. He also asks if the man is dressed up and ready to go. The man tells him that he has an urgent patient and is tired. He wants to rest. He tells the man that his face is red and that his reaction is as if he is having his "heat cycle" . He doesn't know why, but the man says that it's just an accident. He says that he went to check on the man's dog, which is sick, and the man must be excited about the dog's illness. The two men argue about whether or not the man should cry, and Jung says that's the fault of the man for staying with the man until his body is in the heat. She says that she's always believed what he told her, and now she doesn' t know what the man thinks and feels. She asks the man if he hates it because he is an "omega" , or if he just wants to be the person he likes and not the one he likes. She's not sure.
