The next day, Shu'an wakes up and tells his sister-in-law that he's in the hospital because he forgot to tell her why he was there the first time he saw her in the kitchen. Shu says that he wants to talk to her, but he doesn't want to wake her up because she's sleeping so poorly. Shu also tells her that her brother was so nervous when he rescued her from the cold that he kept shouting her name and asking her to stay with him. Shu asks if chu-feiyuan really cares about her, and she says that it sounds like he does. Shu then tells her brother that after she was saved, she slept for three and a half days and two days, and then she woke up and saw him standing near her bed. She asks if there's any connection between her brother and that girl, and Shu says no.
