When the door finally opens, it's too late to find Lady Veila. She's hiding in the woods, and she's not sure what's going on. She asks the headmaster if he remembers what happened to her, and the headmaster says that he does, and that he's sure she told him more than he thought. The headmaster asks if he saw any of his classmates the day before, and they all agree that they didn't.
