The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which we learn that the goblins sent a message through the portal to the school, and that the school is closed for the time being. The flashback is followed by a discussion between the two brothers about whether or not they should stay at the school. The brothers argue about whether they should go back to school or not, with the brothers arguing about whether he should be sent back to fight or not. When the brothers realize that he is not going to fight, the brothers decide that he should go fetch some clothes for himself.
