Mr. Su'Chee tells Mr. Sands that he can't stop her, but that she'll break off again someday. He says that letting her go is the best thing he can do, because she won't be able to stand him any longer. He also says that he has the final say in where she goes, and that he's not going to watch her family ruined. Su-Chee says that when he was a kid, he used to stay with the family, and they all liked him. He's a good person, they say, and he always said good things about him in front of the family. He used to be the first one to leave the house, and everyone envied him.
