He asks the girl, Priscilla, where she is from, and she tells him that she has only been in the town for a few weeks. The boy asks her how she met him, and when she says that she is joining the team to show them how to play American baseball, he asks how she and radus met. He tells her that he is the captain of the team, and that she should tell him she is the team's captain back home. He wonders why he hasn't been able to get food at school, and wonders if he will be able to ask her about the grocer.
