The chapter opens with the young master, Bo, talking to himself about how long it's been since he's seen a snake. He's already seen 15 of them, none of which are local, and they all seem to have been drugged. Bo says that he underestimated the wealthy girls at the party, and that if he doesn't teach the girls a lesson, they'll think that he is easy to bully. He says he'll let the girls have their own medicine. The young master then turns to his sister, Shuyin, and asks her why she's still bullied by Shuyin. Shuyin says that Lin Suer is dumb, and Shuyin points out that Shuyin is nothing compared to him. They argue about whether or not there's a problem, and then Shuyin tells Shuyin to get rid of his "wantony" attitude, which is annoying, because even if something does happen to her, she'll still have to behave in front of her family.
