The narrator is shocked to learn that the Su family has been arrested. He is convinced that they have run out of money and that they are going bankrupt. He wonders if he should continue hanging out with the princess. He feels that she is a pretentious little princess and that he should go away. The narrator feels that he is placing his hope on the princess to deal with Lin Suer for him. He does not accept this. He rushes over to the party to see if the princess is alright. He tells the princess that he has come to see her because he is worried about her brother, who has not replied to his message. He says that he went to his house to find him and his mother kicked him out. He now wants to make it clear that their engagement is still valid. He asks the princess if she is all right. She says that she was not all right and that her brother has been hit on the back of the head. He won't call for an ambulance. He has a slight brain bleed and he has to stimulate his arteries with gold needles. He scolds the princess for trying to kill her brother. She tells him that she never went to medical school, she knows nothing about acupuncture, and everyone knows she is jealous of him because he chose her over her. She scolds him for finally getting a chance to avenge on him. She praises him for stabbing her brother in the back
