In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named Lin Su, who has just returned from a trip to China with his aunt. Lin Su tells his aunt that he has been reading the diary of his friend, Qingyue, and that she has ordered him to go to the "saltwater street" in order to buy the ingredients for the "transfiguration pill" that he is supposed to use to transform himself into a woman. He tells her that he does not want to do so because he fears that his family will be in danger if he does so, but the aunt assures him that he will not be harmed. She tells him that the "bai family" wants to have a "intimate relationship" with him and that he should accept his aunt as his "goddaughter". Lin Su is shocked that his aunt would want to have such a close relationship with him, and he asks her if she wants to be his goddaughter. She replies that she does not, but that she will accept him as her "aunt" from now on
