The narrator is also depressed that he hasn't been able to sleep well lately. He wants to go back to bed, and he tells the narrator that he needs his help. He complains that his medicine isn't working, and that he wants to get some new ones. He finds a book in the room, which the doctor told him is a hallucinatory. The doctor said that the book was a "hallu cination," and the narrator swears that it has been for years.
