It's been a while since we've seen the narrator, and now he's back on his feet. He's got a bunch of questions for us to ask him. First off, he wants to know what's going on with his old friend, Nick. He asks if she's feeling any better since she hasn't seen him in a while. He also asks if there's anything he can do to cheer her up, like go to the funeral or go to her wedding. She doesn't seem to be having any of that. She's just moping around in her room, moping and moping. The narrator is all, "Gee, I wish I had more time to spend with you." He asks about her hairband, her hair, and how she feels rejected now that she can't be with her ex. She tells him that she wishes she had gone to her friend's funeral and the wedding, but she didn't want to miss anything.
