The next morning, the Governess wakes up in the middle of the night. She's not sure what to say, but she knows that she's going to have to leave. She wants to go home and ask Colin why he hasn't called her back yet. She doesn't want to go to a hotel, she says, because she'll have to explain why she'd be leaving. The Governess says she can't leave, because Colin has no interest in her. She tells him to take a taxi to a nearby hotel, but Colin won't take her there. He's too scared to go there, and she says that she can only go home to ask him why. She goes on to say that she has been holding back from calling Colin for three months, and now she've moved out of her house. She says that Colin didn't care for her at all, and that she went crawling back and forth between the two of them. She thinks that he took care of her, and her wife is waiting to see her, too. She decides to go back to the hotel, and when she
