In the midst of the battle, the prince realizes that the demon king has used his soul-suppressing stone to close off the door to a new realm. He wants to be reborn, but he knows that he will be killed if he does so. The prince explains that the imperial court wants to kill him because he is the son of the lost emperor, but the prince was just about to die when the demon-king appeared. He tells the prince that only those who willingly give up their soul can be transformed into a necromancer.
