About This Chapter
The Governess is shocked to see the women lay hands on her lord. She is afraid that the men will beat her up if they do not leave him alone. She tells the Governess that they have come to investigate the case, and that they should not waste their time there. She coughs and coughs, and then she coughs again. She says that she wants to see Lord yangs body first, since it is still early in the morning. She explains that there are 56 bodies, none of them intact. They cannot figure out who attacked the troops and why they should tear their bodies apart. They should have just killed each other, she says. She also says that the lacerations on the bodies look like they were inflicted by someone who did not know how to use a sword. They are the result of pent up rage. She wonders if the imperial soldiers all went crazy, and if they all went mad. She sends someone to find out the identity of the beggar who was found beside the body of Lord yang. She wants to find the crime scene, so she looks for it in the wild forest.
