In this chapter, Siddhartha tries to convince his son that he's not really dead. He's just a "thug" , and the gang is afraid of him because he looks so tough. The kid says that he doesn't know what to do about it, since he'll never be able to prove that he killed anyone. He tells his dad to give him his glasses so he won't have to deal with the gang. He also tells him to tell the gang what's up with him, since they've been nice to him so far. He asks what his name is, and his dad tells him that it's his name, not his father's. He says that the gang's doing great, and that he has high expectations for them. They're the heirs to the ancient bloodlines, he says, and they're here to protect the people from darkness.
