In this chapter, we are introduced to Heath and his daughter, Mariana, who have been living together for 25 years. They are now married and have two children. Mariana is the daughter of Mariana's father, who died when Mariana was only four years old. When Mariana was a young child, her brother, Victor, used her in an experiment to see if she would be able to control her brother's body. She was swallowed by a white light and was rescued by another man, who was named "Jay" . The two of them live happily ever after.
