The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Roxane is talking to the Governess about her plan to kidnap a new member of the gang. The Governess asks Roxane who the new member is, and Roxane responds that he is "reva" or "revy" . She then proceeds to ask Roxane about the noise she heard when she was about to enjoy herself. When she hears the noise, she realizes that it is the noise of the new kidnapper, who is wearing a red wig and a red haired-up ponytail. She also realizes that the man's face will easily be recognized when she abducts someone, and that she will have to tell him that she is there. When Roxane hears that the kidnapper is not the new man she thought he was, she curses him and threatens to kill him if he does not come to her.
